They hope to join the show live from the stadium. Jayson and Dave will be at their home studios to ring in the results as time winds down to the final whistle. • Two Old Bloggers - Vikings vs Chargers - Kubiak: In Over His Head?

The team has headed out to the west coast hoping that the results are different than the east coast. Your Minnesota Vikings are coming off another tough and maddening loss versus the Baltimore Ravens, and now will face the Los Angeles Chargers. The Chargers are headed up by a young franchise quarterback in Justin Herbert. They have two very good wide receivers in Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, along with a very shifty running back, Austin Ekeler. The Vikes’ defense will be understaffed with up to 3 starters and 2 backup players out. It will be a tough test in SoFi Stadium. Dave and Darren who both started blogging on the Purple decades ago will go over a way to possibly see how this game will go and if the Vikings can win, so get ready for the Climbing The Pocket and Daily Norseman pregame show! Breaking down the game with a brief look at the stats, then: 1. Containing Justin Hebert and the Chargers offense for an entire game? Vikings' defense has been good at times (like the first half against Ravens) but rarely sustains it. The run defense is almost as bad as it was last year. Can this defense keep the Chargers under 30? Big test for a defense that has underperformed, But it had 23 pressures against the Ravens without Hunter. This defense can rush the passer but it's not doing other things very well. 2. Vikings' offense needs a spark - how about Kene Nwangwu? Vikings' offense is boring and struggling. It needs a weapon that teams aren’t ready for. Nwangwu could be that weapon. His kickoff return for a TD and nine-yard fake punt displayed his speed. Guys had angles to tackle him. He outran the angles. Teams don't have tape on him yet. They aren't ready for him. Vikings need to get him some offensive touches in this game and see if he can use that speed to hit on some big plays. He could be an X-factor in this game. 3. Can the Vikings and Klint Kubiak run on a defense that can't stop the run? The Chargers defense is giving up 5 yards per carry. Their pass defense is much better. The Vikings have Dalvin Cook, Alexander Mattison, and Kene Nwangwu - they should be looking to attack that run defense. However, the Chargers will be game-planning to stop our run game? It seems when teams do that, the Vikings offense under Kubiak has not been able to find ways to keep running effectively. The offensive line also isn't able to open holes when defenses do things to stop Cook, at al. Can our offensive line impose its will on the Chargers' soft run defense, help the Vikings sustain long drives, and keep Hebert and Co off the field? This is a big game for Kubiak. He appears overmatched after the first drive of the game. If the Vikings offense falls flat again on Sunday, is he out as OC? • Vikings Happy Hour🍻 - With Ali Siddiqui

The Minnesota Vikings are 3-5 and still only a game behind for getting into the playoffs. Will they? They travel to SoFi Stadium to play the Los Angeles Chargers. The Chargers are a team looking very similar to the Vikings, but they are winning their close games, mostly. Their offense has weapons including QB Justin Herbert and RB Austin Ekeler, some good wide receivers in Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, and Jaylen Guyton. They will be challenging the Vikings' defense still out of some starters. The Vikings also have equally good or better offense tools, if they use them, to match against a defense they should be able to score against. The big question is will they? Will plays beyond the script actually be effective? Will Kirk Cousins? News out of Eagan has been troubling today and could affect the game. From Dakota Dozier ending up in the hospital, and 29 players plus coaches being affected by the rules. It could get ugly quickly. Hopefully not. Then there is the breaking story concerning Dalvin Cook. That has to weigh heavily as yet another distraction. They need to use it all for fuel to power a win. You don’t lose if you get knocked down; you lose if you stay down. ~ Mohammed Ali. • CTP's In The Huddle - Here We Go Again

Your Minnesota Vikings fell again in a close game to the Baltimore Ravens. Every game this season with the one exception of the victory over the Seattle Seahawks have been this way… close. How does the old saying go? “Playoff teams find a way to win close games.” The Vikings have won 2 and lost 5 of those. Fans see the fast starts and the inevitable stall for the rest of the game until they need a come from behind last-second drive. What is going on in between those times? Why are they consistently happening over and over again, week after week? The second game of this coast-to-coast road trip is looming against the Los Angeles Chargers. Will anything change or will we continue the season’s earned frustration theme of “Here We Go Again”? Jayson and Myles will try to tackle these issues with you, the fan. On tonight's show… Agenda: - It's literally the same sh*t for this team for 7 weeks now. - Lack of accountability from Kirk Cousins. - Make the case for _______ to stay. - Rick Spielman - Mike Zimmer - Kirk Cousins - Why couldn’t the Vikings put the Ravens away? - The difference between the first and second halves. - Open forum Fan with us!!! • CTP Mondays 🏈 - What’s Next?

“It’s Monday, and your Minnesota Vikings are coming off yet another mind-numbing and insane loss.” ~ A repeat line from last week. Why is this a thing this season? Your Minnesota Vikings jumped out to a 14 point lead twice against the very good Baltimore Ravens. Then, even after that, they shut down the offensive game calling for the rest of the game until the final drive, where they threw a ball to Adam Thielen to tie the game. Then after getting turnovers and going nowhere, we knew that Justin Tucker would stake the hearts of Vikings fans with only seconds left in overtime. What’s next? Some good things that came out of yesterday. When the team learned that safety Harrison Smith tested positive and couldn’t play, Camryn Bynum stepped up above and beyond expectations. Not only did he have an elite PFF grade to lead the team, but he also played 98 snaps and 12 tackles to go along with an interception. His performance was impressive. Then we all were waiting to see Kene Nwangwu return a kick. On his first return, he got to the 23, but to open the second half, he took the kickoff 98 yards to the house, getting the lead back up to 14 points. It was outstanding! There is plenty of good and too much bad, but not to worry, Tyler and Deshawn will be here to turn your Mondays Purple! Other talking points for tonight’s show: Which is the problem, Kirk Cousins or the play calling? Did the recent draft class have a big day? How do the Vikings fix the offense? Did Rick Spielman save his job yesterday? What’s next? Fan with us!!! Tyler Forness @TheRealForno, and Deshawn Vaughan @vikingsfans16. • Two Old Bloggers - Vikings vs Ravens - Purple On Purple Crime

The Minnesota Vikings are heading towards yet another important game. Your Vikings versus the Baltimore Ravens will happen Sunday. This is a battle of the NFL’s two purple teams, a Purple On Purple Crime no less. These are two teams that have been known to play down or up to their opponents this season so far. The difference is that the Ravens have won more and are sitting at 5-2 and are coming off their bye week. Two of the most tenured coaches in the league will battle with some of their squads missing and it might comes down to who will take the most advantage of that. Do you feel it could be the Vikings this time? Fun fact of history in this matchup is that the two teams have played 6 times total before this weekend. They are 3-3 over those 6 games, and the weird part is that the years the Vikings won, they went on to play in the NFC Championship. In the years they lost, their coach was fired. Mike Zimmer will be coaching for the win. Dave and Darren who both started blogging on the Purple decades ago will go over a way to possibly start a winning streak, so get ready for the Climbing The Pocket and Daily Norseman pregame show! Talking points Subject#1 Mike Zimmer (and staff) vs. John Harbaugh (and staff) - Basically going to talk about how Zimmer seems to keeps losing the coaching battle to opposing coaches. - Vikings don't manage the clock well. Don't seem one step ahead of the opposition. In fact, it's the opposite. - Is it our coordinators who are the problem? While Harbaugh has Greg Roman and Martindale, the Vikings have Klint Kubiak and Patterson/Adam Zimmer. - Which head coach is going to have his team more prepared? I wouldn't bet on Zimmer. Subject #2 What's up with the Vikings offense? - We expected the Vikings to have an explosive offense this year. The team is now 18th in the league in points scored. - What is wrong with the unit? Kubiak is the easy fall guy but is it more than that? - Need to get Jefferson involved early - like the Vikings did with Thielen in the Carolina game. It's criminal he only had two catches against Dallas. - Vikings have scored way more on the road this year than at home for some reason. - Need the offense to get chunk plays and be more explosive. They'll need a strong game from the offensive line to do that. Subject #3 Can the Vikings stopping Lamar Jackson? • 🔥Viking Hot Takes🔥- Not Dead, But Dying

The Minnesota Vikings are looking to get to .500 again with a win on the road versus the 5-2, Lamar Jackson led, Baltimore Ravens. Will they? The team’s playoff chances still aren’t dead, but are they dying as the frustrating incompetent losses build up. Football continues! Your favorite team has started its 2021 campaign, the no excuses season. It is time to go further than any other Vikings team before it. Can they? Flip and Eric are here for the 21st episode of Viking Hot Takes on the Climbing The Pocket channel on Thursday night during half-time of the game. Following the usual format of the show, we put the usual 20 minutes on the clock and asked each other three questions: Flip asks 1. Can the defense overcome Danielle Hunter's injury? 2. When do we get to see Wyatt Davis? 3. How will MIN attack Baltimore's weakness? Eric asks 1. Is Mike Zimmer a dead coach walking? 2. Who is most to blame for the offensive struggles? 3. Which team is going to get the 7th seed in the NFC? Fan with us!!! • Vikings Happy Hour🍻 - A Therapy Session

It has been a few days since the embarrassing loss by the Minnesota Vikings at the hands of a Cooper Rush-led Dallas Cowboys. Fans are still disgruntled about it. Is the 2021 season, for all intents and purposes, done? There is still time to squeak into the playoffs, but does anyone expect that? Even if the team does because the bottom 2/3rds of the NFC is worse, is it enough for people to keep their jobs? Right now, there are arguments to fire Mike Zimmer as head coach, get rid of the check-down king, Kirk Cousins [and free up some money in the process], and get a new GM to hire a new coach, and that can actually draft a QB and other key positions. All of that, and we have a road trip to play against Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens. Whatever could go wrong? Matt and Ryan will be here to vent a little with you, then answer your questions, and together hold a Vikings Happy Hour therapy session. Grab your favorite beverage and join the conversation!
