Climbing The Pocket Network’s ‘In The Huddle’ show combines some of the CTPN personalities to your Minnesota Vikings, the previous game against the Carolina Panthers and look forward to the Jacksonville Jaguars coming to town this Sunday. Dave opens the show announcing that CTPN will be going live with show broadcasts everyday of the month of December in an event called Vlogmas 2020. #LetsGetLive Nick leads with his praise of Kirk Cousins. His play has been very, very good over the last month and he hopes it continues from Kirktober last season into Kirkuary this one. Good morning Horners! Yes! The Vikings win! Vikings win! The battle between Kirk Cousins and Teddy Bridgewater, for at least this round was settled. Kirk Cousins was the best of the two quarterbacks today with Kirk notching his second come from behind win of his regular-season career in Minnesota. Kirk is playing at a high level over this last month, and the question is will it continue? This was an ugly game however, and came down to basically who would make the last mistake. Turnovers led to scores for the Panthers and specifically two of them from Jeremy Chinn. It was also mistakes by Teddy Bridgewater overthrowing wide receivers that were wide open and the end zone, and head coach Matt Rhule calling and absurd sequence at the end of the game where the Panthers only ate up 19 seconds of the clock giving the Vikings time for a game-winning drive. The Vikings chance to make the playoffs is still viable, and the guys talk about that extensively and what it would mean to head coach Mike Zimmer’s career and the 2021 Vikings. What is your opinion on that during this frustrating season? Special teams also continues to be an issue that needs to be fixed or it will definitely cost the Vikings a game or two down the stretch. Muffs, penalties, lack of lane discipline, and other miscues have hurt the team and probably Marwan Maalouf’s employment chances after the season. On this episode of SKOL Search, host Tyler (@TheRealForno) breaks down his mock draft 1.0 for the Vikings with Blue Chip Scouting’s Andrew Harbaugh (@Mandrew_FF) and Coast To Coast Scouting’s Dan Barnes (@CCSDanBarnes). Good morning Horners! Aren’t victory Tuesday’s great? Is all this mess on Mike Zimmer? Join Ted, Flip, Drew and Dave as we go at it after the game. Your Minnesota Vikings could not win at home fourth out of five times this season. For the third time this season, the Vikings are leading with 2:00 to go in the game and lose. For us fans, this has been extremely frustrating. The frustration is evident in this show, but watch or listen at your peril. There is a large amount of explicit language. You are forewarned. The defense that had been improving over the last three weeks took a step back, and could not contain the Dallas running attack led by Ezekiel Elliott and occasional throws by Andy Dalton. The TD catch by CeeDee Lamb was unbelievable and served as a spark too. The Vikings offense was occasionally effective, but it took until later in the game for that to happen. Penalties were another issue. Most of the game, Dalvin Cook was pretty much restrained until he started busting some longer ones in the third quarter. Kirk Cousins did have an exceptional game, but couldn’t get it done on the last drive with drops by Justin Jefferson and additional incompletes to Adam Thielen. Special teams play continued to be an issue, from early in the game with a K.J. Osborn fumble and an illegal shift penalty by Kris Boyd on a fake punt that would have succeeded, just to be followed by Kris Boyd being called for blocking in the back on the next play as a punt gunner.
