If you could script the 2022 Minnesota Vikings season, would you have K.J. Osborn take another leap in his performance and skill? Is he capable of becoming a true wide receiver 2 in quality and production? How will the Kevin OâConnell offense use him? Will that make the difference? We hear about the Cooper Kupp role and how Justin Jefferson would be perfect for it. However, is there another way to divide that up to use both Jefferson and Osborn to their strengths and get even more production? There is an argument that says yes.
The Vikings have continued to look for a solid punt returner. They havenât had one since Marcus Sherels who was one of the best in Vikings history. Punt returning is one of the most difficult positions on the team. The ability to track a football that is spinning and tumbling in various trajectories, all while players bear down on you at full speed. After you catch that ball with little space, you need to decide in a split second what course of action to take so as not to get tackled. Who will that be in 2022? Jalen Nailor confirmed this week that he is competing for that position. Who else is in the competition? Who do you think will take this crucial spot on the team?
Speaking of snap decisions having to be made just like a punt returner, Darren and Dave will roll through some quick questions and answers. The question is coming in at you like a punt that is fluttering and the wind is moving it. Make your decision quickly as your Vikings and fans are counting on you.

We are just a month from training camp and Tyler decided to change things up a bit. On tonightâs show, he will be building an all-time starting 22 comprised entirely of Minnesota Vikings players! There are only two rules
1. They have to have played in a game for the Vikings
2. Use a somewhat traditional starting lineup
Tyler will be using 11 personnel and running a vertical offense for that side of the ball with a 4-3 base on defense.
Then, if we had to select the starting 22 for the Vikings heading into the 2022 season, as of today, who would they be? For this, weâll start with a traditional 11 formation on the offense and a base 3-4 for the defense.
Strap in and join host Tyler Forness and producer Dave live tonight!

Local Vikings football beat writer and media personality, Judd Zulgad of SKOR North, got it all started with his top 25 players of all time for the Minnesota Vikings and of course, there was controversy straight out of the gate. Who are the greatest Viking players? Well, that depends on you, but Dave took a deep dive into some of the numbers and came up with the answers. Do you agree? Does Dave himself, or Darren? Whoâs your greatest Viking of all time?
First, the show will start with a discussion of why Ndamukong Suh and the Vikings are in the news. Could the former Pro Bowl player be heading north to join the Purple? There is a report and speculation that he may do so. Is it a wise move for the defense? Would you like to see it? Then, the guys will take a look at Kwesi Adofo-Mensahâs first free-agent signing, linebacker Jordan Hicks. Out of all the hype weâve heard out of Eagan for the OTAs and Mini-Camp, there hasnât seemed to be a lot about Hicks or the rest of the inside linebackers. Is that encouraging or worrisome? Is Hicks now in a better situation working for Ed Donatell and sitting behind a pretty stout defensive interior? Weâll find out.

After a disappointing end to the great 1998 season, the Vikings found themselves at 2-4 to start the 1999 season. Randall Cunningham looked to have nothing left in the tank, so head coach Dennis Green decided to turn to Jeff George. Signed to be the backup quarterback after trading Brad Johnson to Washington, George wasn't expecting to play. Instead, he got the call and led the Vikings to an 8-2 record. Join host Tyler and producer Dave as they dive into the chaos of Jeff George and how beautiful his deep ball was.

The Minnesota Vikings have completed mini camp and the team is on vacation, but that doesnât mean things stop here. Two Old Bloggers with Darren and Dave discussing interesting Vikings storylines as we head towards training camp.
The analytics and statgasm folks are all excited about Cameron Dantzler. Inspired by Will Ragatzâs piece earlier in the week, it turns out The Needle overall looks pretty damn effective as a cornerback. This is both against the pass and especially against the run. That is something the Ed Donatell defense will need. Exactly how effective was he? Is Dantzler the best CB on the team? What does that mean for Patrick Peterson and first-round draft pick Andrew Booth?
We take a deep dive and deep thoughts on the forgotten players. Who are they? They are the ones chosen in mid to late rounds by the previous administration that saw little or no time in games. Are they worth their selections if they were just long-term prospects? Were they just ignored by Mike Zimmer who was in win-now mode and Rick Spielman went rogue? 2OB will look at those great unknowns.
DJ Wonnum had the most sacks of his career last year. A lot of fans think that heâs a rising star because of it, but is he? Could he be forgotten when all is said and done at the end of training camp? What does Ed Donatell want him to do? What does he need to do to convert to a 3-4 defensive outside linebacker, a rush edge? Can he do it?

After discussing the pivotal 1997 wild card game, we dive into another mostly forgotten storyline: The MVP case of Percy Harvin. While Adrian Peterson receives the credit for the success of the 2012 team, Harvin's MVP start to the year over the first nine games is mostly forgotten. Join host Tyler Forness and producer Dave tonight at 8 pm central as they delve into what made Harvin an MVP candidate, the drama surrounding him during his time with the Vikings, and what led to his controversial trip to Injured Reserve.
In 2012:
Harvin was placed on IR on Dec 5, 2012.
Harvin injured his ankle during Minnesota's Week 9 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, suffering an entire ligament tear in his ankle -- or a Grade 3 sprain.
Harvin finished the 2012 season with 62 receptions in nine games, for 677 yards and three touchdowns.
Harvin returned 16 kickoffs for 574 yards -- including a 105-yard touchdown run.
On 22 carries, Harvin rushed for 96 yards and a touchdown in 2012.
Take this trip down memory lane, looking at Percy Harvin playing at a level that could have won him an MVP award. Join Tyler on The Real Forno Show.

The Minnesota Vikings have completed mini camp and the team is heading for vacations. My guess is that the tee times will fill up quickly. That doesnât stop Two Old Bloggers with Darren and Dave discussing interesting Vikings storylines as we head towards training camp in a month and half.
We are looking at exactly how much better Kirk Cousins can be in a Kevin OâConnell offense and under his tutelage again. Can KOC and Wes Phillips devise methods and schemes that unlock another level in Kirkâs play? Can there be a video game type reward or bonus that will chime every time that he does? Then with the preseason schedule firmed up with dates and times, what will be OâConnellâs approach? The Rams barely if at all played their starters in the preseason last year. It turned out pretty successfully for them. Will Kevin do the same? Should he? Weâll wrap it up with some quick hitting topics, like the tight ends, Dalvin Cook, Garret Bradbury eating like a teen ager, and some roster churning. It should be fun!

Judd Zulgad joins Tyler for the Real Forno Show. Theyâll be looking back at the 1997 wildcard playoff game of your Minnesota Vikings vs the Jim Fassel led New York Giants. Dennis Green was on the hot seat. He had to get the win. It was a cold rainy day in the astroturf clad Giants Stadium. Randall Cunningham fumbled on two consecutive snaps, and even the sure handed Cris Carter dropped a pass. The Vikes went down 19-3 by halftime. Things were looking as gloomy as the weather. The game turned out to be very close and most definitely a field goal clinic, but what did it mean for the franchise moving forward? How does it apply to todayâs team?
Take this trip down memory lane, that directly led to the offensive philosophy seen in 1998 and hopefully in 2022. Join Tyler with Judd on The Real Forno Show.

The Minnesota Vikings have completed another week of OTAâs with one more to go. The injury bug has started to show up and it has directly led to some roster churning and burning of previous depth chart rankings. A couple of players were released, including AJ Rose [a.k.a. AXL] and breakout hopeful Kenny Willekes. The Vikings reached out and looked to add to the wide receiver room to beef it up. They first attempted to re-sign Dede Westbrook, but he failed to return the call after his workout, so they scooped up former Chiefs and Dolphins pass catcher, Albert Wilson. Then to replace Willekes, they selected journeyman defensive lineman, Jonathan Bullard.
First, another look at how the offense can improve. Beefing up the WR room makes for more competition, but comes when Ihmir Smith-Marsette and KJ Osborn get dinged up. A quick look at finishes in the rankings, and what Kevin OâConnell even as a rookie head coach can do to turn those outcomes into a top 10 offense.
Finally, weâll answer your questions, and again they are very good. See you there! #SKOL!

The Minnesota Vikings have completed another week of OTAâs and the mood is light. Will this new car smell energy and attitude translate to more wins? We will have to see, but as of right now everyone seems a lot happier. What are the chances this turns into something special, and by that, we mean a run all the way to the Super Bowl? Is there a chance? Dave and Darren look at the times it did happen in the past. âSo there is a chance!â
There will be some quick tidbits and storylines to fill out the final theme, but do not sleep on them, the team isn't planning to. Kevin Seifert wrote a compelling piece on how Kevin OâConnell looks to utilize a healthy Irv Smith. Speaking of healthy, or not, there was drama kicked up over Kellen Mond and what happened last season. Was Mike Zimmer just the grumpy old man sticking it to Rick Spielman or was there a bit more to the story? You decide. âŠAnd what is up with the trend of playerâs fathers making a fuss in the media? That didnât happen in the past. Could you imagine Benchwarmer Bobâs dad complaining to Syd Hartman about Lurtsemaâs coach? Ha!
