The NFL “Super” Wildcard weekend is upon us, and since our beloved Minnesota Vikings are not in it [thanks to the many poor choices and bad injury luck] the Good Morning Gjallarhorn crew will look at the 6 games we will be able to watch. First up will be the #Colts vs #Bills. Old and ancient QB vs young QB throwing to Stephon Diggs. Then come the #Rams at the #Seahawks and in the evening, #Buccaneers vs #Washington whatever. Sunday starts with the #Ravens vs #Titans, then #Bears at #Saints, then the coaches #Browns at the #Steelers for an inner - division battle.

In the first edition of Fries Football Friday, Matt talks about the Minnesota Vikings' stellar rookie WR, Justin Jefferson. Jefferson not only broke Randy Moss' franchise rookie record for receiving yards, he also broke Anquan Boldin's NFL rookie record. The two plays he broke those records on showcase some of Jefferson's best traits, including Jefferson's route running and after the catch ability.
Sit back and watch the breakdowns of both plays where Kirk Cousins hits Jefferson and helps establish his great rookie season as one of the all time best.
Fan with us!!! Fries Football Friday is a new series that will run weekly on the Climbing the Pocket Network. You can follow the host, Matt Fries, @FriesFootball on Twitter.

Tonight, The Climbing The Pocket Network personalities of Jayson Brown. Myles Gorham , Flip Mazzi and Nick Olson recap the #Vikings win over the #Lions, discuss team building with Zim and Rick, our top choices to replace Kubiak, and some notable free agents that would look great in purple and the #Playoffs.
Your Minnesota Vikings defeated the Detroit Lions in an almost meaningless week 17 game to finish the season at a very painful 7-9. With that, the Vikes land the #14 draft slot and next season’s opponents have been set. Rick Spielman and Mike Zimmer will get a chance to run everything back. After 7 seasons though, have they reached their collective ceiling? Can they bounce back with a more competitive team and one that makes a long run in the playoffs? Gary Kubiak might retire and Zimmer will be looking for a new offensive coordinator… again. Who will that be? Who would you like it to be? Who will maximize Kirk Cousins’ play and still play to Mike’s love of running the football with Dalvin Cook? After lots of injuries, especially on the defensive side of the football, getting those guys back and healthy will help, but what other free agents are available that can contribute to making the defense good or even elite again? What about the offensive side? The refrain of, “can he play guard?” rings across the Vikings Nation. Might one of those players be someone we see play this weekend for the Wildcard round of the playoffs? Let us know, and join us in the discussion.

In our first Vikings 2021 Mock Draft of the offseason, we did a 3-round, no trades mock draft and tried to think like the Vikings.
We came out of the draft with a defensive haul in the earlier rounds including Greg Rousseau, Christian Barmore, and Hamsah Nasirildeen!!!
Drop a reply to let us know how you'd feel about these players in purple and click the link in our bio to watch the full episode.
Join us live on YouTube at 9pm EST tonight as we recap the win over the Lions, discuss team building with Zim and Rick, our top choices to replace Kubiak, and some notable free agents we'd like to see in purple next season.

We’re introducing the first ever Climbing The Pocket’s - Mock Draft Monday. In tonight’s show we’ll run through a 3 round no trade draft. CTPN Draft expert Tyler Forness joins the crew to conduct the draft and talk about the future players. Jayson and Dave will provide hopefully coherent comments like, “but can he play guard?”
Come join the fun and discuss it as we fall down the board.
Today’s game ends the Vikings season and they end winning it to finish 7-9. Will that be enough to keep Zimmer and Spielman in place? What did you think of Justin Jefferson breaking Randy Moss’s and Anquon Bolden’s records for the most yards for a WR rookie. Should he be considered for ROY? We would say yes. How about you? The Offense scored 37 points but it was frustrating still when the defense was so bad. Join us and lets talk about it and more!
Good Morning Gjallarhorn’s Dave and Darren engage in a discussion of your Minnesota Vikings and their defensive decline over the 2020 season. The defensive line is woefully inadequate in all aspects of play. Then there is Anthony Harris who was the #1 PFF rated safety in 2019 earning him a franchise tag. His performance this year has declined. We’ll get into that. Why do you think that is?
The Vikings face the Lions and should be interesting see how the defense plays in this last game. Who will show effort to stay on the team or make money elsewhere? Join us for the conversation!

Good Morning Gjallarhorn has it’s pregame live! In this one, Drew and Dave are joined by Darren from Two Old Bloggers to look at the matchup of your Vikings against the Detroit Lions at Ford Field on Sunday. Both teams have had a disappointing season to say the least. The Lions have interim coach Darrell Bevell will be fighting to tie the Vikings record at 6-10, but can he when we hear reports that most of the Lions have already checked out on the season? Have the Vikings?
Mike Zimmer says they will be playing starters and playing to win. Some starters are out though and going over the injury reports, plus knowing Riley Reiff is on the Covid list, not everyone will be starting. Same goes for the Lions. It will be interesting to see the rookies continue to improve and look to see which players are playing to prove something vs those that are looking forward to their tee times in Florida. Who are you looking to see?
GO Vikings! SKOL!

The guys gather to look at the state of the team we all love, the Minnesota Vikings. After giving up so many points to the Saints, will the Vikings need change? How will they do against the Lions who have seemed to cash in the season? How will that effect the Vikes draft status? This and much more... Join us and hop into the conversation.
