Tyler Forness’ Top 5 - RB’s
Click here for our latest episode!
In this episode Tyler breaks down the top 5 running backs prospects for the draft. The Vikings have a competition available for the RB3, will the Vikings draft one to compete? Running Backs This group of running backs is unique to previous years. After the top 5-6, there is a really big drop-off. This isn’t a class where you are going to be able to get a guy in the middle rounds who can come in and play right away. If you want one, you will have to spend a late first/early second-round pick. When I scout running backs, I prioritize three main elements: vision, burst, and contact balance. I can live without a running back having true home run deep speed if he can burst through the hole and get a large gain. To me, that’s more important because it affects the team on every down rather than just one or two plays a game. Vision/10 Cutback/10 Long Speed/5 Contact Balance/10 Pass Blocking/10 Break/Avoid Tackles/15 Durability/10 Receiving/10 Quickness/10 Ball Security/10 Grade/100 Let’s learn about Travis Etienne, Javonte Williams, Najee Harris, Michael Carter, Kylin Hill.
