In this episode Tyler breaks down the top 5 defensive linemen prospects for the draft. The Vikings have a competition available for theinteriror D-line, will the Vikings draft one to compete? Interior Defensive Line One of my favorite positions in the game, this class unfortunately was not very good. Described by a couple of scouts as “the worst interior defensive line classes they had ever seen”, this class overall was not very good, nor was it deep. If you have a dire need for a defensive tackle, this is a bad year to need one. When I grade defensive tackles, I look for a couple of things: winning the rep and pressuring the pocket and not losing the rep or the leverage battle. With help almost always coming from the linebackers at the second level, it’s sometimes more important to keep leverage and hold your position. Understanding that will give you a better snapshot of how a defensive lineman wins.
