Join us for the a live mock draft. Climbing The Pocket, a Daily Norseman partner, win run live mock drafts every Monday night. This is an exercise where we see how the boards fall and who is traditionally there to be available to the Vikings. There are plenty holes and options to fill them. Who do you like? Jump in the conversion and let us know! Round 1, Pick 14: QB Trey Lance, NDSU My number 2 quarterback in the class, Lance is a little bit raw but has every tool in the toolbox. While he would be best suited to have a redshirt season, a run-heavy offense like the Vikings wide zone would give him the best chance at success right away. Round 3, Pick 78: OT Spencer Brown, Northern Iowa A behemoth at 6’8” and over 300 pounds, Brown possesses the size and athleticism the Vikings should find appealing. Round 3, Pick 90: S Andre Cisco, Syracuse An absolute ballhawk, Cisco had 13 interceptions and 14 passes defended in only 24 career games for the Orangemen. A true centerfielder, Cisco would be able to come in and let Harrison Smith do what he does best: roam the box and play riverboat gambler Round 4, Pick 118: EDGE Cameron Sample, Tulane A major riser at the Senior Bowl, Sample has the size and athleticism that will be able to fill the 5T role left by Everson Griffen. Given time to grow, Sample could be the next in a line of 4th round hits. Round 4, Pick 124: EDGE Adetokunbo Ogundeji, Notre Dame A hybrid type pass rusher, Ogundeji has excellent hands and functional athleticism giving the Vikings much needed depth on the defensive line with some potential to grow into a starter in time. Round 4, Pick 134:S Ar’Darius Washington, TCU While he has excellent ball skills and rance, Washington is still available because of his size (5’8”, 174lbs). His size will limit him but make no mistake: he can play. Round 4, Pick 142: WR Josh Imatorbhebhe, Illinois A hyper athlete, Imatorbhebhe can jump right out of a gym. With the glut of talent ahead of him, Imatorbhebhe will be given the time to develop. The Vikings love their top tier athletes on day 3 and Imatorbhebhe has a 47” vertical leap. Fan with us!!!
